lPaRaDoXl has now ended.
Well guys I decided to give paradox over to one of the Lt's reason being is that most of my main players who I've been with for a long time have moved on to MW2. I will have an Alt account in Paradox and scrim with them on occasion so don't be creeped out if you see them in the beta clan from now and then
. I'm keeping the vent up and will be chilling in there often so yeah don't worry about that (dploy). Well it was fun while it lasted was my favorite clan I was ever in. R.I.P paradox son'

MW2 > CF
I can see why they would leave.
Ever since Suba split to Z8, its just getting more...dumb?
COD will always be better than a free fps game. but i dont think that there is much of a difference from z8 to suba other than the logos and some mods who got lazy thats about it -

cod is a bad game imo... if i wanted, i could get the crack right now and play but i have tried cod 4 and it was terribad. like i would rather play RS -.- -
Dac, deathstrike, and myself have moved on to mw2.
We come onto cF occasionally to hang with old friends and play a few scrims.
I'm just going to do a little break down of the "why".
Guns
More guns, more options... fully customizable. Don't have to gamble away hard earned cash for no guarantee (note: I'm not QQing about black market... Neither DAC nor myself have ever bought SP or ZP...)
The guns have a balanced feel to them, the scar does more damage than the m4, yet it has 8 or so bullets less or something like that. Sure "noob tubes" can get annoying, but it's easy to get around that.
Maps
The maps are unbelievable. These aren't generic box shaped maps with "a" "b" and "mid". The maps are complex, yet surprisingly versatile. Focusing on rushing, camping, and tactics... all at once. Many elements of the map itself can be blow up or altered by knifing or shooting it: windows, boxes, barrels, etc.
The maps give off the impression of realism, not perfect little litter-free cF maps.
Game modes
Crossfire has ghost mode, it's true. TD, SD, and EM however, are pretty standard. In COD we all enjoy Domination (king of the hill variant), Capture The Flag, and Sabotage (neutral bomb). They also have search and destroy, headquarters pro, etc.
With more "substance" to the game modes it gives the game new meaning, an actual sense of urgency and drive to accomplish your task. A verbal announcement will be made that the enemy has "captured our flag" or "the enemy is securing charlie!!". It makes you want to play the objective, it makes you want to win, it makes you want to play.
Game play
If you are reading this then there is a 99% chance you have played CrossFire. We all know what cF is. You point, then you click. gg. As with all fps, COD still has this aspect but there is more to it. You can go prone, you can throw stun nades, sticky nades, tactical insertions... All of these elements are customizable, and add to your feeling of uniqueness (in terms of your class). Speaking of class, the perk system is great. You choose 3 perks which do things such as unlimited sprint, to undetectable by uav and no footsteps. You never know what your enemy may have, and they don't know what you have. It adds suspense and tactical awareness to the gameplay.
Glitches
Glitching in CrossFire can be fun. Not going to lie, I've done it a lot. Mainly in closed games... but I have glitched in pubs before. It's not that fun. It kind of ruins the game. However, these aren't the kind of glitches (Wall glitches / stacking) that ruins cF. The constant threat of "bomb glitch" (unstopping bomb plant sound) or being unable to move your mouse after alt-tabbing can be kind of irksome. As well, one never knows when they will finish the half to a nice black screen featuring 16 "smile gate" players...
In a game that came out of "open beta" several months ago, one would expect glitches, and smooth gameplay to be a priority, but I guess not. I mean... who doesn't like getting stuck in mid-doors on factory amirite?
Lag
It's been said by most reviews that MW2 is a fail game for pc due to no dedi-servers. While it's true, dedicated servers are essential to competitive play, it doesn't detract from the fun in any way. I can click "find game" and have one in less than 10 seconds. So far (about 150 games in) I have lagged in 4-5. Those games I lagged in I merely left, and found a new game in about..... oh, 10 seconds.
Crossfire on the other hand...
Dedicated servers yes, but not quite. The server location is kind of ridiculous imo. Players living in Ontario and Quebec receive huge advantages, simply by their ping. In fact, if you have under 40 ping in Crossfire it practically makes you a "top player". Now some might say: "stop QQing... go play west coast servers" Okay, that is actually a great idea. My location is on Vancouver Island. It is the farthest West I can go without being in Hawaii. I get 50-60 ping there. It kind of makes me wonder where the fk the west coast server is really located. Anyways, the low pingers get an advantage, big deal. What about all the Brazillian and Euro players? 'Nuff said.
In my experience (9 months of cF, 40 hours of MW2(playtime)) I think cF lags more than MW2, even though it has dedicated servers.
Registry
In modern warefare2 when you shoot someone they take damage. If you shoot them in the air.... it hits them. Enough said.
Ranking system
In CrossFire it's common knowledge that "rank means nothing". This is because all the zp vvhores enjoy buying 50%XP+, 20%XP+ berets, and 10%XP+ clan bags. Some even go so far as to farm, just to appear "good". Even for those who play legit, everyone gets around the same amount of XP a game (unless they have an XP item). In COD, points are earned for kills, assists, and objective play. Capturing a point will give you 150 points. Getting a double kill will also give you bonus points. This rewards skilled players, and ensures that people who deserve to rank up do.
Overall feel
I played Crossfire because I was looking for a change of pace from CS. I got hooked on being a pubstar and rocking 2.0+ kdrs. I later began pugging and then scrimming when the beta clan came out. I've spent many hours on this game, not because I was forced to but because I wanted to. However, now as I look at cF I see a broken game. Almost as though it's un-whole, un-finished. With all the major scrim teams leaving, it's clear the competitive scene is dieing with it. In mw2 I play because it's fun, it's addicting, and it's rewarding. You can't rush into a control point guarded by 2-3 players and expect to take them all out. You have to nade over, hold them off, get some teamate support, and slowly take the point. The game feels like real life. I know it sounds cheesy, or ignorant... but when you die in the game you actually feel like: "dang, I should have checked there", not "dang what a lagger, ur bad kid, get off the dial up". It's clear to me (DAC and Deathstrike as well) that MW2 is the better game, and I think we have made the choice to make it our main game... with occasional cF breaks on the side.
ParadoX:
What can I say?
I was the leader of OverRated. I was the leader of OverPowering. I was a LT of diseased, and luminescence. PaRaDoX was by far the best clan I have been in. Skill-wise, we were solid. We were recognized as a "top clan", and we had a great roster. But that isn't what made this clan great. It was the friendship. We could all joke, we all fit in, and we all "suced each others mings". For the last few weeks paradox was literally the only reason I stayed in cF, and it meant a lot to me. With the exception of Rev-soh- (why did you let that pr.ick in again lolo?) I loved all the members we had. I will miss you guys, but hit me up on xfire sometime and we can maybe get a scrim going

True stuff though. You were a very important part to paradox for many reasons son. I never once felt I made a bad decision by giving you LT. -

So in short anyone who can afford MW2 and still plays CF should gtfo now. Hmm i'll consider it. You certaintly made me want to play MW2 with that pro review you gave. How much is it? $70. Maybe next month. And another question. Did you say you could play MW2 on a computer? Or is it only consoles? -

You can get it on ps3, xbox360 or pc. I play the computer version.
I believe it is only 59.99. Talk to me on xfire if you want to find out how I got it for free.
Should get it and play with us though. Looking for more cool people to chill with. Wish all of paradox would get it lol. -
