Are you runing a Wireless Connection? If yes, use a wired Connection - wireless is crap for gaming.. :rolleyes:

Fun fun, ping spikes are so epically fun. I had that kinda problem and it turned out to be a combination of a dying modem and ventrilo being a massive resource hog. Ping problems most of the time are on your internal network including cabling. It's hard to pinpoint the exact problem so I recommend checking out all the network infrastructure for damage or other problems. Most likely though its either a modem, router, or something being a resource hog on your comp.
