Client MFC Application has stopped working

Every time I boot up the game I just get this error message then my game closes / crashes. Is there a reason that this is happening. I have deleted all cf files and tried reinstalling the game but that did nothing and have also checked other forums but the instructions given did not help. I have been playing the past few days fine and has randomly just appeared and is causing a huge problem.
