Screen turns very dark [Not total black] whenever the game loads

As the title says, whenever the HGW finishes loading and the log-in page appears, my whole screen turns darker even if alt-tabbed the desktop is affected and so is everything else.

The brightness is back to normal when closing the game through x on windows mode before logging in.

This problem only occurs with Crossfire.

Running windows 7.

Anyone else faced this weird issue?

The new Update messed with the Gamma setting, set it back to its original value with should be 50 on default to be able to see again.
