#CFFF2016 unfair winner!

Hello everyone.

macroland did not win in a fair way.
He only "edited" the models and used a rain overlay (that are 2 things)!
The mimic of the characters, the camera movement were already implemented in the motion file, he maybe edited 2-3 camera's.
This is unfair to the other competitors. They did not have the advantage he had making that video. You can see the proof below.

to [GM]Kanadian: i am not talking about the music or the models. the movement download already mimics the lyrics that goes
with the song. He did not do that. And it's true he edited things. 3-4 things for sure while others edited everything!

this is how the file looks inside. (you can see that the camera's, the models are already made).

This is basically a full made project ready to render.

If you still do not wanne see it, you are blind.
he had a big advantage over the other candidates and that's not fair.

  • This entire thing pretty much rests on how the GMs see it. How much editing of borrowed stuff like assets and such would be necessary for something to be "your own"?

Every Movie Maker borrows stuff like assets and the like, and there simply hasn't been a line drawn up to when one is treading into "plagiarism" territory.

What I mean to say is, if the GMs think that the amount of editing he has done is sufficient, then there is pretty much nothing left to debate. There hasn't been a clear ruleset established regarding cases like this, and thus it falls into the subjective fibers of the GMs to make a call.

While I personally am not much in favor of it either, this is ultimately their decision which I don't necessarily plan to go toe to toe with.
