They changed the visual look of it to encompass a more "realistic looking" silencer.

Afaik, every silencer except the M4A1-Elite has been streamlined to match the M4A1-Advanced line of silencers.

I don't really mind it, as I usually play with the M4A1-S Crystal. I can understand that the change might be a little... offputting in the beginning, however.

I assure you however, that you'll get used to it within a reasonable timeframe.
