How does every one feel about the Balloon Hammer?

Now that every one has had time to use the balloon hammer, i was wondering what people think of its effectiveness.

Can it be used as a free alternative to the axe? Would it be a good balance vs regular free weapons such as the m4, ak, g36k etc.

I think its well balanced for a free gp wep. Its got lower range, but higher speed than the axe, but also has 1 hit potential. IMO an axe is still better than this wep, but its a better choice compared to a knife.

Pretty much this. In a 1v1 knife match you'd be hard-pressed to beat an axe with the hammer, but it is a good melee if you can get used to the wonkey right click.

my opinion doesnt really reflect any comparison to the axe i just have to say its good if they dont have armor, if they have armor i get poooed on so that would be my conclusion. crap vs armor

It's good as a GP wep, but the problem is that the FP mall still exists and the Balloon Hammer becomes a bigger turnoff. Though it solves the Kris slashing problem for sure.

It's a good weapon. Doesn't come near or top ZP weapons but it's definitely has one up on the standard knife. Good alternative to knife and a must buy for anyone who does knifing and enjoys using a variety of weapons. I don't quite think it's comparable to Axe but the potential to be a lethal weapon in GM is there. Also, I like the sound.

The stab is slow, but I don't often use shovels, kukris and wrenches so it may not be so bad. Armour trolls it.

At the end of the day it is a gp melee and fun.
