Xtrap detects OBS as malicious software?

Hello,

I've been using OBS Studio for a while now because of the hack detection compatibility hook.
I recorded some footage yesterday without any problems.
But today I woke up and got an Xtrap error when running OBS studio together with crossfire...

Did Xtrap get an update or something? Or is something else on my end causing this?
And most importantly, what can I do to fix this?

Me so sad ):

Which version of OBS are you running?
  • Which version of OBS are you running?
I'm running OBS studio 0.14.1 (64bit) will check if there's an update... *slaps self for not thinking about that*
  • I updated to the latest version (OBS studio 0.14.2) but the xtrap error still shows up :/

EDIT1: I tested both 32 and 64 bit versions with and without administrator privileges. Still no dice.

I tested OBS Studio 0.14.2 and received no X-trap errors. What other programs do you have running?
  • I tested OBS Studio now at first it runs fine, but after a while you get ''Hack tool detected''

#Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. So im not really sure.

But I recommend to use MSI Afterburner. Has multicore support so it has very very little impact on your FPS when you record. You can record 4k with it. and it's free
Some of my favorite youtubers with 500k subs etc like elanip using it

I have stripped down my programs to nothing but the bare essentials and still I get X-trap on launch, will keep testing and keep you updated. The X-trap error says: program corrupting OS: OBS 64bit

Thanks I have tried MSI afterburner but it doesn't have all the features I need, I depend on a few key features of OBS, + I like to see what I'm doing, the MSI OSD doesn't do it for me, but thanks for the suggestion anyways! :D
I am running windows 7 ultimate 64bit, and I get the Xtrap at launch for some reason, not hack tool detected, but it says something is changing stuff in the OS or something. I'll edit with a screenshot in a bit.

If you're using Game Capture, under properties is the "Use anti-cheat compatibility hook" box marked or un-marked?
  • I think I found the solution.

I added the recording program to my anti virus & firewall. Seems like the problem dissapeared.

    Try it op.
