Sound Error

well for some reason, right after i started talking on xfire with my mic built into my headphones foot steps i hear are realy low, and gun shot sounds are very loud! anyone know why? thanks

you can try to increase your Sound with /s 0-100(choose a level between these range for your ingame sound). Otherwise check, whats the Volume on your Headphone; if its set to low, rise it up a bit and see, how its working.

Do you use Realtek HD audio manager?

If so, Try putting "sound effects" and "room correction" to default and also try what dreambomber said

Theres a thing of windows that disable another sounds when you are talking. Try ajusting this.

also im not good with computors, took my a long time to get my mic working on my headphones...also i do use realtek hd audio manager

dont forget there is a sound reduction item for footsteps that could be the reason why there is such a difference in the sounds but try unplugging your headphones and checkin to see if footsteps and gunshots are closer together in sound if so it might just be your handphones also check if your headphones have mono and stereo settings put it onto mono for a test for the sound levels
