Guns and FFA

For some reason whenever i play either of the two FFA maps both my gun's Muzzle Flash and bullets/tracers/holes in walls) will flash off and on, sometimes even staying off completely,this is getting annoying as i cant see how off my recoil is other than the gun display at the bottom right,i rely on my front visual.it usually happens after i get a kill then it stops then goes random and stuff,its like i'm shooting a BB gun.Imagine shooting some1 in front of u but u cant see the recoil move at all and u wonder why u arnt hitting him?
