Game doesnt start

Hello people,
I have recently reinstalled the game and it simply doesnt start. I open the launcher, press play, wait for hgw and xtrap to do their thing and then nothing happens, the game doesnt start at all.
My system requirements are not the issue i have played the game on this pc before though i never played it on win 8.1 before.
I have tried setting compatibility mode to win 7 and 8 still nothing worked.
I also redownloaded and reinstalled the game, its always the same crap.
Any ideas?

  • It sounds like something is blocking the connection between you and CrossFire. Have you made sure that you put the CrossFire folder in your anti-virus and firewall exception list? Make sure there is no programs running in the background such as Raptr Or PlaysTV. Programs like these can affect CrossFire.

Let me know how it goes! :)
  • Well I have same issue. The game wont start -.- Idk what`s the problem. It started at the last XTrap update. So I have to wait to the next update then :P

i have raptr running all the time and CF is working fine for me ! I don't think that would be the problem ! Like you said he needs to check firewall exception ! And maybe you should free some space on your hdd .. And make a screenshot about your task manager ! Make screenshot about processes ! http://www.howtogeek.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/650x625xsshot-61.png.pagespeed.gp+jp+jw+pj+js+rj+rp+rw+ri+cp+md.ic.5m1IO-Sidq.png

I'm pretty sure if you have the settings "Track Gameplay" on, CrossFire will not work. It has been confirmed by one the GMs. So it definitely could be the problem if he has that settings on.

Are you a Gm or what? Because you should stop trying, because as far as i see you cant help anyone, and no its not ram problem, nor avg nor something else, something is blocking hgwc and I think its actually a hgwc problem.

Who ever said I was a GM in the first place? I am here help. This is why they have these sections on the forums, so players can help other players. You don't need to be GM to help other players.

Like I said, the setting "Track Gameplay" is the main issue on Raptr program which causes CrossFire to close. The same issue has also happened to me before and I solved it by un-ticking this setting.

    1) Open up Raptr.
    2) Go to Library.
    3) Go to "CrossFire".
    4) On the top right, it should say "Track Gameplay" above the "Launch Game" button.
    5) Un-tick this box.
