Possiable Xbox 360 controller to play the game?

Is there a way to play the game with xbox 360 controller with out purchasing a XCM ? I would love to play the game with a controller but for some reason ive seen some hate on you guys from alot of people not allowing this option? I'd love to start a poll of some sort and see how we can fix this issue me and proably a bunch other people would think that having a controller baises setup would make the game more fun seeing as with mouse and Keyboard the aiming is a bit of a issue and lags all around i'v tried to clear the aim up and dont work i was able to get one program to allow me to aim and shoot but not more or switch guns or reload.

My question of the day is Would u guys Consider making the game Gamepad/Joystick Optional.

Technically it is possible...but you would need to use a third party controller software to convert the inputs from the controller into key/mouse inputs that the game will recognise...and I'm not sure if that would cause a conflict with Xtrap...

There are Xbox 360 / ps4 joysticks connected with usb. Made for the computer. It would work. But probably not all the buttons. You would have to script things again. And like nattnatt said, you won't know if it is gonna conflict with xtrap.
