I can't adjust the resolution to where it fits my screen when im in-game.

You can't make the resolution bigger than 1680 x 1050. Since your screen does not support it.

This doesn't relate to my question. The highest resolution i can go for is 1600x900(wide) and i cant go further to the last two which are 1680x1050 and 1920x1080 (both wide)

Well, there is sometimes a bug which doesn't let you change the resolution. The 1680x1050 resolution should work for you, if not, then I suggest you send in a support ticket.
