We can't upload files for you, and we don't recommend you changing anything file-wise. However, I may have a fix. Try adding the entire crossfire folder and everything associated with it to your antivirus/firewall exceptions list, and then reinstall. Usually this error happens when one of those things picks up on a new file (thus happening after the patch) and flags it as unsafe for whatever reason. Let me know if this helps!
