You have to find a Font that allows Chinese "Symbols".
Computer -> C Drive -> Windows -> Fonts (Search for the correct one)
Copy/Paste the font into Computer -> C Drive -> Program Files (x86) -> Z8Games -> CrossFire -> Rez -> Fonts
Delete the "default.ttf" file and rename your chosen font to "default.ttf".
Now, you need to go to control panel -> Clock, Language and Region.
Under region tab, click Change Location then click the "Administrative" tab.
Here you will find Change System Locale. Click this and change to Chinese (Simplified, China)
Restart your PC, load up CrossFire and if done correctly you can view Chinese.
Now, for Typing in Chinese;
Control panal -> Clock, Region and Language -> Add a language -> Add the Chinese language and there you have a Chinese keyboard. -

Just keep in mind that if this does work for you, we generally don't suggest changing anything in the CrossFire folders. It can lead to errors later on that we won't be able to help with, because we don't know whats in your folder
Hopefully though (and unofficially, coming from just me and not CFNA in general) I hope you figure it out

I forgot to mention this. Thank you for posting this Kanadian!
If this does not work, I would suggest a fresh clean reinstall of the CrossFire game to ensure no errors occur.
