Alright, so after Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was updated to the point where I got so ****ed off about their stupid new gun addition, I had a desire to play CrossFire again. I can live with being kicked and being called a hacker since I'm on par with top-tier professional players both on CSGO and on CrossFire. So I downloaded the game, check. It went through its installation, check. Then it did all of its updates, check. Now here's the problem.

I've already learned that the game requires to play on the compatibility of one of the earlier windows such as Windows XP to Windows 2000 was it? Last time I ran it on 98. So I double-clicked the icon and took me to this window to either [Register] or [PLAY]. Obviously I chose to play the game and went through its updates until it went away. As per usual, I see the HGW Watcher update window and on the bottom right of my screen, the X-Trap initialization window. However, when Step-1 was completed, I was met with a long window of an error, I'll type the whole thing out.

Code_Field [10-0300-800C0008-104] ||| The Access to X-Trap patch server is unstable or X-Trap update wasn't able to run properly. Please, restart game.

I run Windows 7 Home Edition if I recall correctly and I have ran this game last year on the same thing. I haven't played this game since then and I'm wondering if there's a problem with that. I also have PC Matic if that helps anyone around here who's willing to help a lost soul. Other than that, are there any other variables I need to be concerned about such as where I should've placed on my downloaded game? Such as what directory which I highly doubt. This sort of help is much appreciated.
