Why do you think that you are going to have to say goodbye to Custom Killmarks/Badges/Sounds/Ranks?
This new update does prevent further edits of the UI folder. After the update, the UI folder will be moved and updated through a new REZ file (as everybody should know; editing REZ files are not permitted and may result in a ban). You will still see the current UI folder, but any changes in it won't show up in game; that folder will no longer be relevant. It should still be possible to modify sound files though, at least the one available in the Snd2 folder that is. So yeah, no more menu skins, custom killmarks, custom ranks/badges, etc,

You guys are in luck! The countdown page has been updated with some new images and information, which includes Simulation TDM!
• Simulation TDM brings a new aspect to the classic TDM mode. Pit your team against the computer bots to hone your skills for a real battle. Are you prepared for the new battle of Man vs. Machine? -

Amazing!

I can't wait for the new Modes (BOT & Simulation FTW) and Weapons/Gears content. I/others just really hope that's not it along with Graphic style changes because we also hope to see these unstable Server statuses (UK mainly) get an upgrade/update and X-trap as well, since that's the main concern in the games infrastructure, for a long while.
The new bugs about to arise when all this 2.0 content/changes comes-by is going to be epic, I hope Z8 are fully prepared to extinguish them! -
In the bot mode do kills count towards badges,kd etc like a normal game?Probably not.
You do get EXP and GP though. Atleast in the BR Version.
I believe when you play Bot Mode (Also known as Simulation TDM), it does not affect your KDR. However, you do get some EXP and GP from playing it but it will be much less than playing a normal game.
I still think Bot Mode would of been a better name rather than Simulation TDM. Simulation TDM just seems long and confusing. -

Well, I like it. Our Versions sounds more sophisticated that way lol. -

You are right because I played cf china -
HAHA EGY be like "bot mode" is hack mode xD. Aimbot alllah.
But besides that I cant wait to use bot mode, would be great to do warm ups and not get destroyed by tryhards.
+1 if it were to be called bot mode
I cant wait for 2.0 time to grind some cf again -

In December of 2013, there was a report that CF 2.0 would be using the Unreal Engine 3. I've not seen this mentioned since then. My assumption is that the game engine is unchanged for the time being, especially since we will still have only a few maps with graphical updates. Can anyone (with real knowledge) confirm or deny that we will still be using the original engine (Lithtech Jupiter EX)?

I would also like to know the answer to this question, hopefully a GM will answer it soon. -

I can confirm that CrossFire will be using the same engine (Lithtech Jupiter EX) after the CF2.0 update. You have to remember that CF2.0 is just a content update with specific content.
The report that you are referring to was talking about CrossFire 2 (The successor of CrossFire). CrossFire 2 is a complete new game which uses a new engine (Unreal Engine 3).

As I've read this engine will be used in new version of CrossFire - CrossFire 2. Here is a fresh post about it - http://crossfirefps.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:RonBWL/CrossFire_is_NOT_closing -

Thank you Abel. So CF 2.0 does NOT equal CrossFire 2. Exactly as I expected.
