Anyone having this error message?
i reinstalled and it takes 2 hour than after a while I disconnect and than error again..
its annoying as f

Perhaps your Firewall is screwing around with the Connection to the CrossFire Servers, and it gives you this error?

I have the same problem, played yesterday without problem. Not even touch the computer after that.
System: windows 7 hp
Firewall: windows 7 firewall
Antivirus: Avira Free

I had thought it is because of the new version released, and uninstalled... Now reinstalling it.

Just keep a copy of 'version' files located inside the CrossFire folder or ask your friend and replace the two files,works for me and saves me a lot of time.

.Since the last update TWICE i have clicked on my desktop icon <---shortcut to start the game (cf.exe) and i have got a corruption error and had to re-install CF both times.I will get a screenshot next time of the error.It is a fatal error.I am running win 7- 64 bit.This is a update issue.Also once u leave the game - logout the error re-occurs.Iceberg which version of Windows are u runinng? I am win 7 64 bit.All of my friends that are on win 8.1 or win 10 are not having the issue but the ones on win 7 are ( so far)
