my FPS is not very high :/

Hi there, I really want higher FPS on my computer (bought it for $600 off my local best buy) because my FPS is really low and I want to increase it but a good 50 or 100. Can someone tell me what I need to buy/upgrade to increase my FPS on CF? (im using hp. THANKS!)

running Windows 8.1 btw.. (windows vista or 7 is honestly the best there ever was....)

U should be getting a solid 170+ fps on high setting for cf on that linked pc

I have a toshiba satellite laptop had it 8 months and in theory, I should be getting 100fps. But I actually get fluctuating FPS, for example: Start game 0-12 fps, fps finally reaches 90, someone throws a grenade/flash or smoke bomb 4fps, I'm being shot at fps drops again down to 4, I can't move, consequently die. I must look like a noob just standing in the middle of the other teams firing range -.-

In the end I dug out my 8 year old laptop, installed windows vista. Problem solved.

I don't know why it works so well on some systems but not others.

Laptop ? plug it, and change battery plan to best perf. (click on the battery and check 'best performance')
Use full screen mode (true one) , avoid any overlay & capture (Nvidia shadow stuff and AMD Raptr) and this should be enough !

yeah, I HOPED I did, but it's around 120 and sometimes 60 in a full game..

The FPS depending on your Computer. If you have a Good Video Card will have a good FPS. I have 220.7 FPS and my Video Card is one of the less powerful. The FPS is a computer response, how He runs the CF. To better your FPS is only with a Video Card Good.

in this game the fps is more CPU based that video card based.

Mines a laptop, I did this, I even increased CPU power, increased virtual memory, messed around with CCC settings, resolutions, thermal paste, cooling fans tried to over clock. I tried everything possible. I'm amazed an ancient laptop can run so smoothly yet a "powerful" modern PC cannot. Oh and it was a legit win. 8.1 I upgraded to 10 but still have the same issue.
