game crashes on startup

Game crashes when self patching on startup reaches 100% and crossfire just quit after that. It doesnt run in background either. I tried uninstall and reinstall. Everything on computer is up to date. There are no viruses on the computer. I have tried literally everything I can think of. Also there are no event log when it crashes on startup so I have no idea whats causing it to crash. It used to work like 7-8 months ago. I can't do system restore because of all the updates and viruses I deleted from previous restores. Every other game works except this... Please help
