Can't Patch the Game

Like what the title says I can't patch the game. When I try to turn on the game, it goes to CrossFire Auto patch and says Self-Patching then it closes and never opened the game.

I'm having problems logging into the game as well, I have been receiving CRC and 'Unable to execute HGWC' errors. Re-downloaded crossfire about 4 times and the errors still continue. Other resources say it may be because of windows 8.1 security. Also have tried deleting the HGWC folder from the crossfire file location to see if it would download the HGWC folder again. But the issue still happens

Yeah guys, I have the same problem. I open crossfire, the auto patcher loads for about 7 seconds or so, then it says runtime error. I never had this before until 2 days ago, and now I haven't been playing for 2 going on 3 days. I hope crossfire isn't shutting down or something because I really love this game and I think their new updates are going to be excellent. But I have been seeing soooo many people get much errors with crossfire since i had my error (1/13/15). I hope everyones error gets fixed, please developers help us out, we want to play!

This can take a loooooooong time b4 all errors are sorted out and fixed. be patience #cflogic.

I see that everyone has Crossfire Patcher v10. But I have Crossfire Patcher v6. Maybe that's the problem here?
