CF crashing my computer after 1/14 update

Title sums it up, I can play for about 15 minutes then my computer crashes and restarts, I tried ZM Devastated Hard and Dinner Theater Normal. It didn't start happening until this update and my computer works fine doing other tasks and playing other games. I have Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, an Intel i3-2100 and 4GB RAM(no dedicated graphics card), my computer is a Gateway SX2855-UB22P.

I'll try reinstalling CF and update when I get done and patched and finally manage to play again.

Edit/Update: I reinstalled CF and played a game of Dinner Theater from round 18 to the end and it worked fine. That's all I have time for right now but it seems fixed, if it happens again I'll update again.

    hi, today release Microsoft ( Net.Framework etc..) several new important updates and few companys update there programs today ( IObit Driver Booster, Internet Download Manager, Mozilla Firefox, BitTorrent... ).
    Maybe this info helps you a little bit.

    Pc or laptop ?
    If pc you have to open it and remove the (hard/memory) capel then add it
    if it still not working so , there is a trouble with your windos!
    I alreasy have this win7 version and it works fine

    try to use win7 ultimate



    Q: does your pc temperature become hot when you start it ?

    It's a PC and the problem was only happening when playing CF, playing other games worked fine. I don't believe it had anything to do with CPU temp, it must have been a corrupted file in CF. I reinstalled CF and it worked fine for a single game of ZM, I'll test it more later but it seems fixed now.

    Yes I saw the new Windows updates available and installed the Windows Security updates and Windows Defender update before I patched CF and started to play. I thought one of the Windows updates must have been responsible for the crash so I uninstalled all of the updates that I installed today, restarted my computer then tried playing CF and my computer still crashed playing CF. I tried playing a couple of other games I have and they both worked fine. I reinstalled CF and played a game of ZM and it didn't crash so it seems fixed now.
