What has this game turned into ?
Hello everyone,
I created this account 5,5 years ago in summer 2009, and mainly played the game between 2009 and 2012 with some shorter and longer breaks. I am still remembering the times when they were no UK-servers , only 1 gun (later 3) available in the black market and ADIGA and his clan the notorious farmers in the game( older users will know what i mean... )
I came back in december 2013 for several weeks as well as 2014 around Christmas. Even though i never was a very good player, i spent alot of time with this game and also had a couple of accounts. Furthermore i invested approximately 450 Euros on my main account.
Due to the fact that this game was very funny, especially in the years 2009-2012, i dont regret spending so much money on it.
In this years Crossfire was a big part of my life and i also was part of a big German clan, where i found some good buddies.
In 2012 i stopped playing CF, because i had to work harder for my A-Levels in school . But as you can see above, i never lost my affection to this game and returned several times.
But when I returned again 2 weeks ago, I was really, really shocked of what this game has turned into.
1.) The community
The first thing I noticed was the low amount of players playing this game. I played the game in the early evening and only found 3 full servers. Even though there are after all 3 full servers, I remember the times in 2011/2012 when there were 4 full UK servers aswell as 2-3 full NA serves and well attended clan serves. So it really seems that the game is slowly dying, if you refer to the amount of players playing it.
I also noticed that the origin of the players completely changed in the last years. In the past there was a very big European community on the UK servers with many Spanish, Italian, French, Skandinavian, Polish and Germans players like me.
It was clear to me that the European community would decrease, because of the IP-restriction and the Launch of CF-Europe in 2011, but I did not expect to find so many Arabian and so little European players on the servers. I do not have anything against Arabian players, but it simply does not feel the same anymore...
2. The Hackers
Hacks have always been a big problem of Crossfire and made the game unplayable several times. But when I extensively played this game, the admins and developers did everything to stop the hacking problems. There were many patches and z8 was always able to fix it somehow.
I played the game sveral times in the last 2 weeks and I recognize dozens of hackers, espacially in TDM, which made the game unplayable. I do not know , if this is just a temporarily problem as in the years before or a constantly issue. But as I did not noticed any improvement in the last 2 weeks, i have to assume the problem to be constantly.
I made this threat for all the "old" guys, who played this game in the past and are now shocked what it turned into. I also want to point out that something is going wrong.
Best regards,
R.

Don't forget that there are some new versions like a version for EU and a version for BR players, so, I don't really feel that it's dying, but I find that a normal decrease due to the new versions, but still I can't deny that many NA players have left this game for sure even tho this game is called CF NA. -
IMO z8 are scared to ban EGY region
So this game is just an egy trash cafe hack game, the cafe's in egy are milking it aswell lol ..... ban EGY/BR and get a ping linit on server's thus restrict's lagger and see a drop in hackers
R.I.P Z8&Co you made a right bull's up -

Why are you so mad about the mobile glitch? You would be the first person who would use until the end -

Z8 has their own better idea, that is why we had a no death weekend. I think they believe this would bring back some kids to happily spend money and be killed by hackers.
Everything changes except two things in the last year: 1. the vote system, 2. the efficiency of z8's measure against hackers. -
They did change the vote kick to require an extra "yes" vote in most circumstances but it didn't seem to change how unlikely a hacker is to get kicked or how likely a legit player is to get kicked. Really the only good thing about it is that it now requires a unanimous "yes" vote in ZM so it did reduce kicks of legit players there....Everything changes except two things in the last year: 1. the vote system... -

Can you spare me of this crap? This used to be Crossfire International when there wasnt so many other versions of Crossfire(no br/eu/ru/es/etc.) another reason for the huge ammount of players that were playing this....
Only things that are different are the player's origin (egys and arabs mostly) and VIP's "prefiring" after every single corner in S/D.
off-topic: Can Smilegate stop dividing Crossfire into so many little versions? What's the damn point of this? EU barely has 1 server thats not even 50% full,RU has 3 full servers but theres no GP black market and their coupon rewards are just pure TRASH,and now Z8 has Crossfire Spain, like really? (Z8 having licence for a Europe country Crossfire if you dont get my point)
Tell Smilegate to cut the crap with the IP restrictions and make this game back into the international version that it used to be.....or keep on splitting Crossfire into other versions up untill only the asian versions will be the only ones left alive....
