Error SYSTEM32/d3d9.dll
I get this error whenever I try to log in, in the game.
I recently installed Windows 8.1 and it was working fine until today.
I wake up and this happens?
Why?
I know that it deals with DirectX 9.0, I have the DirectX11.0 though.
Is anybody having the same problem?

Uninstall the latest (is it still the latest?) Windows Update.
I run Win 7, 8 is probably similar.
Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Installed Updates > (Microsoft Windows) > Security update.. blah blah, the one with the date closest to today > Rightclick - Uninstall.
Try to lurk around the other threads for which update specifically though, never happened to me so I don't know. -

Nobody told you to reinstall CF, and your updates should NOT be the latest.floresfrank wrote: »Hey i re-installed CF and it gives me the same problems...
My updates are the latest.
Please read the replies and try them properly before discarding them. -
Hey guys, the specific update that seems to cause this issue is KB3000850 in your windows update manager.
To access and reverse this update go to your computer's control panel, choose "System and Security", click on "View update history" under the "Windows Update" header, then at the top of that click on "Installed Updates" where it says "To remove an update, see Installed Updates." Then find the update that is labeled "KB3000850" (there will be other words in front of this, I don't know the full name of the update), select it and uninstall that update. Once you have uninstalled that update restart your computer and X-Trap should let you play now.
Just to be safe I suggest hiding the update from windows update in the meantime so it doesn't get re-installed until the issue is fixed!
