Christmas Competitive Team Rankings =)
Just something I thought I would whip up and also so new teams could have ideas of what teams would be good to practice against or on an even skill level.
Each tier is not ordered. Teams on each tier I would consider on the same level.
Tiers of Ranking
Master - Best of the best. Rarely loses to any other tier. Very Experienced.
Elite - Top Teams, but not always consistent enough. Very Experienced.
Advanced - Teams that consistently compete at a high level, but usually aren't a top placement finisher. Good amount of experience.
Intermediate - Teams that are starting to be active in the scene and become a common name or teams that have been able to do well here and there, but still actively compete often.
Novice - Entry level, not necessarily the best, but good enough to be considered competitive and trying to improve as a team.
Master
Instinct
Currently the CFS defending champions of NA, and consistent first place winners of various events. They also have one of the most stable rosters in North America and all of them are very experienced and know quite a bit about the game. These guys are great to practice against if you want a good challenge, but not recommended for beginners or new players.
Carbon
Consisting of some of the veterans of competition as well as some star shooters, this team is well known for its strong individual players. This team doesn't play every event, but when they do they are always have a strong showing and generally don't lose to many teams. If you want to play against a top tier and well experienced team, Carbon is a great team to go up against.
Elite
ACE.MSI
One of the stronger elite teams, but due to activity they haven't been able to compete in a way that would classify them as the current best of the best.
Deadface (Welfare)
Definitely a dark horse team. These guys lack some consistency, but have the ability to be a top team and have beaten some of the best.
Enix (Bio)
Another team on the rise, but still needing to work through a few kinks. Easily a team with the potential to take a #1 finish for future events.
FireSQD
New team of old players. These guys have the potential to be a very strong team if they stick together.
AlphaFive
These guys have some of the most known veterans in CFNA. If they can get a little more active and get their old groove back, they could be a threat for CFS S4.
Team DRK
Not always keeping with the best of the best, this team still has top tier potential if they make some improvements.
Fly Society (Heliumm / C0cksucker)
These guys are solid and have been around for a while. They like to have fun, but still aren't a team to underestimate.
Advanced

Nice attempt at making a list. Not necessarily an accurate one though.
The only thing not accurate about this list is en1x having a chance at winning tournaments. You could also say there is a mistake made by adding Mainstream when they are simply just a team to fool around against or stomp in scrims until you get bored. #targetdumbies#pubstarquality -
you're still an idiot, and stop posting
I'm sorry but who are you again? If you can't handle the facts that are being typed up then don't wield your emotions out on me. Now if you wanna go toe to toe in the streets please Direct Message me through the forums. I will drop you with my hair in my eyes #leesinstuff #fuxckboy -
i like this list but you should ''center the teams'' and remove the history behind the top teams so it could look more attractive . Im pretty sure people in this community knows why those top teams are up there

and should have a vouching rule with screenshots sent to you to move up on the list [it has to be a match screeny without ringers in order to move up or simply get vouched from the teams that are on top of you]
would love to see Epsil0n in Novice ^_^
it would be nice to talk to each other for much more awesome ideas
add my xfire if you would like to : hasan6666 -
If I may I can provide an idea here...
I'm taking this from the way Soldier Front did it.
We created a list based on tiers. We didn't name them or anything. Just Tier 1-6 (6 being just added to the list) and gave them some fancy colors. However because assessing the teams and player bases can sometimes be difficult we base the list off of tournaments mostly. Where you place in tournaments determines where you are in the tier listing.
However, through regular competitive play if you have 5 clan members on and you faced another team that had their 5 clan members (no ringers) and you defeated them then you could do this:
Under very specific conditions you could advance through the list without needing to place further in a tournament (though people only take tournaments seriously).
Let's say if you are in tier 6/Grey, which is the bottom, you would have to defeat 25% of the other Grey teams in order to advance to Tier 5/Green.
Upon obtaining tier 5/Green you would then have to beat 50% of your current tier to advance to tier 4/brown and then beat 75% of 4/brown to achieve 3/yellow and beat 100% of yellow to achieve 2/purple. Red however is only obtainable by placing 1st in a tournament. This color/tier is restricted solely to those who have proven to be the best.
Now, in order to achieve this you could either a: be a snake and simply take a screen shot of each match you've won against the teams of your tier and submit them to the list manager (I'll refer to this later in the post) or openly ask the other clan or "challenge" them for a tier advancement match to which if you win you simply take a screen shot of winning the match and add it to the other screen shots you have in order to move up the list.
HOWEVER. There is another option to advance the list.
If you are, for example, a Grey Team/Tier 6 and you play against a Brown Team/Tier 4 and they feel you were more than a challenge and have proven enough skill to not belong in the tier you are in, they can vouch you up a tier. However you can not vouch a team to your own color/tier. So even if they were a Green Team/Tier 5 and you feel they are on equal standing as yourself and your team, you can not vouch them to your own Tier/Color.
Now in order for this list and system to work you need a List Manager and you need to host a tournament specifically to make list rankings. Now this List Manager would have to deal with altering the list for Clan Name Changes, Teams being added and removed as well as inspecting the proper vouching. Depending on how many teams there are and how active the system is used it can be a rather difficult task as you need to make sure the teams match up to the listings, etc.
As for the Tournament to set initial rankings, it wouldn't necessarily reveal proper skill levels as sometimes even top teams can get knocked out first round due to whatever reasons. It's just a place to -start- the list and start building upon it.
I'm not sure if this is a system or a concept that this community would be willing to try/implement but it's simply an idea and something that we, Soldier Front Players, have been using for years now and it's worked for the most part. (As the game started its massive decline in player base people cared less about hte list but when it was initially started it helped inspire activity and aspiration to improve - perhaps it could help with this community?).
Anyways, if this is something that the community wouldn't mind trying out then I'd be open to discussing it more to hash out even more details for the community (if I haven't been detailed enough).
For an example of what the list would look like we made it appear like this:

Enjoy ^_^ -
Great idea, similar to zzxq's but seems to have worked in SF. I think all we need now is for someone to take up the task of being the "List Master".
Two questions though, Does everyone start at the bottom? And you don't mention how you fall a tier, so is that even possible? -
Ah, both good questions.
To the first question: Yes, doesn't matter if you're top players but you're making a new team. You start at Grey. Of course if you're in that situation it shouldn't matter too much about getting up the ranks as you could either just wait for the next tournament and place in it to obtain the higher tier or play against a top tier for a vouch match. For a situation like that it shouldn't be difficult to obtain a high tier ranking.
As for falling a tier...you can be devouched.
Vouching itself is more-so open for top teams to determine the skill level of teams rather than the low-medium tier teams. It's a little bit difficult for, example, a brown tier team to properly determine whether a team should belong in grey/tier 6 or to be vouched to green/tier 5. So it's more so for tier 3+ to establish the skill level gaps between teams.
However for devouching. This is something that the "List Master" (as you so well put) would need to really investigate. Vouching up the list is not really much of an issue since it's so linear to get up, but a team that is a tier higher than you could easily just not like you for whatever reason and devouch you as well. (They require a screen shot of defeating your team in order to do this.)
HOWEVER. For a more accurate depiction for a devouch we could easily help reinforce by doing a best 2/3 situation.
If, for example, a Tier 4/Brown team plays against a Tier 5/Green team and the Tier 5/Green team doesn't win a single map in the 2/3 situation then as long as the Tier 4 team has the screen shots of both maps and proof that it's all the same vouch then they will have by all rights to devouch that team to the bottom again at Tier 6/Grey. However if the Tier 5/Green is able to win at least one map or if each map (despite losing) is still a close game in score then they are able to defend themselves with their own screen shots to hold their spot.
This, to me, seems like the most efficient method for falling down the list. And yes, I realize it's slightly unfair seeing as in order to receive a vouch to move up the list you'd have to face a team that is at least 2 tiers ahead of you while a team that is one tier ahead of you can devouch you - it creates a more urgency in needing to perform at your peek to keep your spot. -
