Game randomly shuts down

When I am playing crossfire in any mode or map, sometimes my game just shuts down in the middle of a game for no particular reason.

I am playing on a win 8.1 x64 bit laptop.

This is really annoying and is making me mad!

I have really no idea how to fix this, anyone who can help me?
If I need to show some details about my computer just tell me.

I would like to know why this happens too. I have the same problem. I am running windows 8.1 on a desktop so maybe its a compatibility issue with crossfire and 8.1 i dont know but its really frustrating and annoying especially if im in the middle of a match and i'm doing awesome. please let me know what causes this so i can get it fixed once and for all.

Want to list all the programs you guys have running? There may be another one in common. For me it closes with out any errors about 10 seconds after starting cf. After 3 re launches it seems to work haha.

when I play, I make sure that nothing else is running except the normal background stuff (nothing except my antivirus and other stuff that always runs in the background since the computer boots up)

I had the problem too. The only way I could fix it was to do a full system restore back to the factory settings. It has not crashed randomly since. I think it might have been related to a video driver or some other driver conflict.
