What software should I use to record and edit

I use shadow play and bandi cam .

For a screen recorder try Action Mirillis this is the best on market now. No lag and the file compression is better than fraps and the others screen recorder.

for streaming i use OBS
for ingame recording i use bandicam. Ig you have nvidia gtx650 you can use shadowplay.
