crouch...why we can't lay down?

so i was wondering like in COD and stuf we can crouch mid...but we can't lay on the ground...maybe this isn't a good idee but i was just wondering why we can't? someone got a reason for this?
it would be cool if we can lay down

Proning is for long range sniping, and CF maps are too small for that. Therefore there is very little need to go prone.

COD is a totally different game with a way more detailed realistic looking Enviroment. It´s Maps are still little...

I don't really see any use for it, certainly because the ledges and boxes would greatly reduce the distance you can see. It's also asking to be killed, you can't run/jump around while on the ground (hurray for logic)

It would be great if ghost decided to go prone at times, you could step on them and the only thing they could do is knife your lower body!! No more headshots

Even though I see very little practical use for it in CF I don't see why not to add it.

Does no real harm and I am positive that people would find some rather unexpected spots as a result of it being implemented.

The ghost prone is cool just thinking about right from the get go

K, who here has played war rock?? Wanna kno the most anoying thing in that game? i guess it is pretty hard for a person to have a 20 pound+ sniper rifle and yet still go in to a vent crouching and moving...

Wouldn't work for CF.

Too small, different pace, and no need.

Crossfire is too fast pace for this to be any of use. The moment you go prone you can't move and thus... well... you're dead.

well maybe if they make a patch with some really big maps, then this would be good. but i meen why not? maybe be the alt button? the alt button doesnt have a use.
