Crossfire won't load/need help on possible solution

Yeah my crossfire game won't come up after I hit start game then that splash picture of gameguard comes up and then nothing happens. Though I finally found that I had "Virus Protection" on which might mess up my download since I don't have all components such as crossfire.exe in the folder. The problem is that I can't simply shut it off and am trying to turn it off but don't know how. Help? (Also on a random note, trying the ccleaner and downloading it again if it somehow helps, which I doubt it will)

Which Antivirus Program do you use? Whats your Operating System?
You can try to delete your Gameguard folder and start your game, the missing files will be automatically repatched. If that doesnt work for you, uninstall your game and download the setup again from the website's Mirrors or if these dont work, you can try it with the Installer from this Mirror.
Also ensure, that Crossfire.exe, Gameguard.mon and Gameguard.des got full access through your firewall and that your Antivirus dont block them in any way.

iv got the same problem but by looking at the windows task manager it is running the patcher but not showing me the patcher till i shut down my pc, in the process of shutting down it shows it for 2 seconds then it vanish's, iv deleted the gameguard flder and that hasnt helped but another thing is iv noticed i dnt have the gameguard.mon file so maybe this is the problem? any ideas?

same here, when i click on Start Game, nothing happens. i dont have any anti virus and my firewall is turn off. can any one help me solve ?

Whats your Operating System?
If you got Windows Vista / Windows 7, make sure that your runing the Setup and the Gamestart as Administrator.
For the firewall, setup a Exception for Crossfire.exe, Gameguard.mon and Gameguard.des files, to ensure, that your firewall wont block these Applications.

Ensure, that Crossfire.exe, Gameguard.des and Gameguard.mon files got full access through your firewall and turn your Antivirus program off for the Installation.
If you got Windows Vista / Windows 7, make sure, that you run the Setup and Gamestart as Administrator.
If you deleted your Gameguard Folder, it normally should get repatched automatically, when you start your Game.
If not, uninstall Crossfire and download the Setup again from the Download Mirrors or Alternative Download Mirrors on the website. If these dont work for you, you can try it with this Mirror.

Help

Ok I run crossfire as administrator and nothing happens.... what do I do. I restart my PC, Re-install crossfire, and non of that works. What am I suppose to do?

i am ahving the same problem but after i click start and the HGWC pops up and loads in the game wont pop up at all would it be because i was running it in a window menu mode when i started it the frist time i had run it?

I stoped my anti virus when I installed Crossfire, my firewall is disactivated.
I press start on the window. HGWC loads update etc. but the picture loading screen does not pop up. nothing happens like if i havnt started crossfire. I uninstalled it 50 times, restarted my pc, and still doesnt work. I have windows xp
Its weird because i have a 2nd LT account

That is exactly my problem too. I would be most grateful if someone could find a solution as i've tried every "dreambomber" has suggested and nothing's working!
