Crossfire installer freezes my PC

in CrossFire Support
i downloaded CF with the Mirror 1
when i try to click on it, it freezes my computer
i cannot delete it move it or anything
how do i fix this, im extremely ****ed off about this

im using windows XP home, Sp2, Geforce 8600 gt gfx card, 2 80gb hdd, 1 sata 1 ide

please help

    - Check, if you got all Windows Updates installed.
    - Check, if you got the latest Graphic and Directx drivers installed.
    - Download the Game by another Download Mirror or the Alternative Download Mirror, when these dont work for you, try it with this Mirror.
    - Ensure, that Crossfire.exe, Gameguard.des and Gameguard.mon files got full access through your firewall and turn your Antivirus program off for the Installation.
    - If you got Windows Vista / Win 7, ensure, that your runing the Setup and the Gamestart as Administrator.

    If these steps dont work for you, let me please know, what kind of Error you get.
