Verify ownership

Hello. I have just one simple question. Recently i discovered that the email i used to create my account no longer existed so i sent a ticket to change it. I answered their question and proved i was the owner. A few days ago i decided to change my secret answer and they did more question to which i also answered but they were also to prove ownership.

My question is, if i proved ownership once, why do i need to prove again? It's not a big deal because i have not problem answering what they ask but the question remains...

It isn't really an issue, it's more of a doubt i have
