Empty message box appears while starting CF

It happened to me weeks ago, I was hoping that must be something missing. I resintalled the game and restarted the PC, the same empty message box was there.
Yesterday I attempted to do the same and worked, but now the empty message box keep coming so I thought that nProtect Gameguard Engine is failing cause of some of the updates and I deleted the Gameguard folder so it can get the updates again, but still not working.

    Which Operating System do you use?
    When you already deleted your Gameguard folder, it will be automatically repatched the next time you'll start your game.
    If it doesnt, you need to download the Game again from the Mirrors and/or Alternativ Download Mirrors, or when these dont work, try it with this Mirror.
    Ensure, that Crossfire.exe, Gameguard.mon and Gameguard.des files wont get blocked by your firewall and turn your Antivirus program off for the Installation.
    Also dont forget to run the Setup as Administrator, if you got Vista / Windows 7.

    my friend had the same problem
    it has to be with the nprotect, he reinstalled the game and it worked fine

    done it tons of times, the possibility for it to work was low and when it worked a day later is back again... maybe your friend still have the problem

    searched for empty message and found a lot of things like 'game doesnt work' but not related to that empty message box...

    I'm gonna retrace this... it doesn't work AGAIN!! Done the same procedure 3 times and still not working
