You have to consider some important aspects:

1. Will it be more accurate?
2. Will it feature a scope?
3. Will it have a silencer?

Only then can you decide whether it's worth it.

reload will be a little faster. and if you use the knife trowing hack the damage will increase so you can kill trough walls.

Seriously.. Any golden melee weapon would be cool.
Even with the same damage as the original one. I would really concider buying a golden axe.
