Check your internet connection while wave mode, sometimes, give lag spikes after explosions, tower destroying, and air strike.
Other wise take a screenshot with the error message and attach it in a support ticket. Try to include as much details as possible. -

There's nothing wrong with the user, it's the provider like it always is. I get the same error and it started out of no where yesterday at around 7:30-8:00 EST and my computer isn't even 4 months old and my internet hasn't changed. Every other mode works fine except wm and I only get the error when i'm respawning. Yet again, I (and others for that matter) get the **** end of the stick. It's mind boggling how much money these companies make yet the game is so poorly coded, years behind it's potential and just all around poorly maintenanced/put together/administered. There's no way in hell there should be THIS MANY problems with a game that's f2p yet funded by the community. I can easily compare smilegate to slumlords because that's basically what they are. A total cancer. End rant. -

Well I play wave mode almost daily and I only get errors when I SPIKE to 1k ping and same ny Internet connection is good and didn't change, my pc is new.
good luck dude. Since its not a f2p anymore how are you playing it? Just wondering.
