Issues with Settings
Hey, so I've tried playing Crossfire today and for some reasons when the game is running the screen was completely dark, I tried changing my settings to window menu mode and raising the gamma from zero and saved the settings, but for some reason the settings wont save and when I check again, the screen is still pitch black, and in full screen mode? can someone please help me, I really want to play but I can't play with this issue.

I've already tried it...TWICE. But still to no avail, I really need some help soon because this wont work at all, for some reason it wont save my settings, sound is off and stays off, gamma stays at zero, and it stays stuck on full screen. i've saved the settings and when I check, they aren't saved at all. This seems to be an error with the client, I'm sure.Reinstall the game... -
As servers are down so i cant take a picture of my settings so,here is a link this pic is not mine.. http://ts2.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.608004396652103635&pid=1.7
click on manual settings and than change the gamma and other settings and than save it.If that doesn't work than i cant say much about it,you should provide more data like screenshots of your settings etc... -
So, I've done all that and I HAVE saved the settings dozens of times and still to no avail. There is no point in me sending a screenshot through, I've already set all the settings properly the issue is it wont SAVE. I've been waiting a day now and a GM has yet to reply and offer some sort of assistance, I understand them being busy, but how am I supposed to play and enjoy the game when it wont work properly? It's now two days I've been unable to play and it's really ticking me off. The issue seems to stem from the game client, I don't see any issue with my computer which is running fine, I've checked EVERYTHING on it and have scanned it thoroughly, there is no issue at my end. I need assistance soon, because this issue renders me unable to play the game.As servers are down so i cant take a picture of my settings so,here is a link this pic is not mine.. http://ts2.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.608004396652103635&pid=1.7

Hey, so I've went to documents, where do I find system.dat? I don't see it anywhereTheShadowRo wrote: »Try this:
Go to My Documents/Cross Fire
Look for System.dat and delete file (there are stored all your video game preferences)
Start again CF will create new System.dat on default game settings
notice: if your system.dat is read only your game can't save your video settings -
My Documents/Cross Fire
There will be a folder in there that's called CrossFire. In this folder you will find System.dat.
I've checked My Documents, crossfire is not there.
Edit: I found the folder, I still don't see system.dat in it. Only reginfo.dat and localinfo.dat
