hi, iv just got a new laptop which is windows 8... and when im playing CF my F keys dont work the way they should for crossfire.. for example.. if i want to use team chat wich is f3 .. instead of going to team chat it ajust the brightness.. or voting f12... it turns my wifi to plane mode... can anyone help me plz? and its the same for every f key used ingame.. this is really annoying

on your laptop there should be a button thats ables and disables the f-key functions i.e so if you catch them they dont affect anything you'd have to either read the manual as to where its located or check on the internet

Your laptop has a where you need to press a key such as FN and the F key you want to use. Some laptop have the F eys set to a specific function, as you are describing, F3 is set to adjust brightness for example.

The FN keys switches to using the F3 keys instead of brightness

To access the "F" keys, which are your Function Keys, you must push the Fn key to tell your computer that you are attempting to use the Function Keys. So if you want to push F3 or F11, you must push both the Fn key and the corresponding function key.
