C4 beeping sound glitch

I haven't had this problem for at least 2 years, but now it happens in every second GM room. When the ghosts plant the c4 I instantly start hearing the beeping sound of the bomb continuously with a high frequence. It makes pinpointing impossible and gives me a terrible headache if I try playing with sound on.
Is there a way to fix this, or you haven't figured out the cause of this yet?

PS: it happened on Laboratory and Nightfall in most of the cases.
