Failed to connect to sever

Whenever I try to open CF, it brings me up to where it asks me to put my username and password in but it says it fails to connect to server before I even start and shuts the program down.

This is upsetting because I've made it to 16 hours on the winter olympic challenge and I feel as if I'm being cheated, if it doesn't get fixed by the 22 can I get some form of compensation on this?
