im wanting to buy this grapphics card , i forget what one i have now, but its the one that came with my PC some kind of ATI . The one i want to buy is NVIDIA Geforce 8400 GS 512 MB DDR2 PCI-E Graphics Card , so is this a good card? Please only reply if u know what u r talking about . Thanx

Just know this.

I have a NVidia 8500 GT and it makes 60 - 70 fps (with a bit variation) on FULL games and almost 200 fps on a 1vs1 game.

a 8400 GT would do just a bit lower then that, so i think that for CrossFire its good. But not if you play other games (i tried to run crysis on lowest , got 15- 20 fps)

i get 15 to 20 fps with what i have now if i use game booster i can get like 60 some times but for some reason it never stays the same always goes up and down real anoying

Agreed. For the price of buying an outdated low to mid-range graphics card you could toss on 20 bucks and get an insanely better one. Do some shopping around newegg.com.

8400 GS would be more than enough for this game, but if you play anything more demanding than say Counter Strike Source you need more power.

well if its bad can u guys tell me a good one thats not going to cost a whole lot , ny mom is getting if for me and i know she wont go fo some high priced one , i try to get her to get this NVIDIA one that was like 5 grand...lol so some thing on the low end but still good?? Oh and keep in mind i only PLay CF and go on face book so this is the only Game that i play on here besides farmville

the laptop graphic cards are integrated into the motherboard so you can't change it

hmm well i dont know , anyone know the answer to this? So i would have to get a new mother board , i think i need new one anyways my sd card reader and nic card r bad , so maybe i should start looking in that direction.

well motherboards for this is to much money so i guess im chit outa luck , i guess ill just get the mamba gaming mouse instead of trying better my graphics card

buy a new computer, don't buy a laptop(i got one) they don't have good graphics, get a desktop computer, get this1

don't like it? get a computer with nvidia dedicated/discrete memory(high fps)

im running Cf on a 2.2ghz athlon 64 SINGLE CORE with only 1gb ram and a 3year old graphics card (Ati Visiontek Radeon X1600XT) and i get a minimum of over 100fps with a max fps of 330,with a res of 1024x768 with all graphics on highest too.

what's your graphic total memory? is it dedicated or intergrated?

Just to let you know.

Laptop graphics cards cannot be changed, they are etched onto the mainboard in 99.99% of cases.

if by dedicated u mean the cards own memory then yes it is dedicated and it has 256mb of it which is DDR3 and runs at 1.38ghz,core is 590mhz,also its AGP & a desktop lol

it matters more about the specs of your computer more than the graphics card, i have a nvidia geforce 8800 and sometimes it runs like crap but when i get rid of processes that take up a lot of cpu the game goes from 6 fps to around 80 fps

how do you get ur processes back once you close them down? do you rite them down and then search them after to reopen them when ur done or watever? Isn't it kinda dangerous to ur computer if you close the wrong processes?
