The servers are up however they are getting hammered with all of you trying to download the patch at once.

If you still get this problem after a few hours just reinstall the game and repatch it from then.

All of these problems (file has been changed or forged, version.ini and patch_cf errors) are all due to the same thing.

A little patience is all that is required.

I have Two method of connecting enternet:
1- mobile internet : when i try to play with this method the file forgod issue is appear
2-Dsl internet : when i try with this method i can connect and play

so why ?

deleted files from c:\programfiles\z8
My Docs\CrossFire
installed a new version from download section

STILL
File has been changed or forged. Game will eb shutdown by force

I am using windows xp

go to control panel

disable windows firewall

works for me ...

hope works for u too... I am sick of fixing issues manually everytime...

uninstall the game completly then download the newest setup file from the website and install the game manully again. Disable your Firewall and your Antivirus for the installation too, then it might work.

Wht your gonna hvae to do is to reboot your pc mate. Same thing happned to my cousin it means you have a virus.

I tired to do what you told us, but the problem is still there. Same correction message; File changed or forged. I deleted CF and the files associated with it. Then I reinstalled the game, did a clean reboot and the problem is still there. ?!

I tryed to repair it tha half of day. At last I tryed to create new account in windows, and it works. Hope your CF will works too. Good Night

This is happening to alot of people what you will have to do is a disk clean up or if that does not work rebuld your pc which means if you have windows xp reinstall windows xp.

u need more space in ur disk....just clean up the disk so u have more space....i was getting the same problem...and i defrag the disk...and wala....cf running.....
