Can't enter PW in Loading Screen.

Trying to troubleshoot for a clanmate so I'll edit in new details as he tells them to me.

So, when he loads up CF he gets to the login screen, only the quality of the login picture is all pixellated or low quality or something like that. And it won't allow him to click on the password field to enter his password so he can't log in. He says he did a fresh install and all that and it still does it. Anybody have a similar problem that they managed to fix?

edit: The game doesn't crash out nor is there an error message. He just alt+tabs out to close the client.
