After the update my ping went up twice as much..

The title pretty much says it all. After the Christmas and New Years update, my ping went from 60-90 to 120-200 and It really sucks because this is my favorite game... I also haven't played cross fire for two weeks before the update. Anyways, I am not gonna be one of those jerks who blames it on Z8 but is there any way I can make my ping go down. I even tested my internet connection and it is the same as it always has been.
