Windows 7 Official Release - Crossfire still not working
Hi guys!
I've just bought a new laptop with windows 7 ultimate 32bit as OS. I've tried to run Crossfire but it's still not working...
Could Admins please give us details on what is being done to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.
PS: Does anyone have the game running on win7 32bit? and How did you make it run?

We're working on a few things for people to try while we wait for Game Guard to update for Windows 7.
Have you tried running in compatibility mode?
We should have some news on the status of this issue very soon.
Hi Saidin,
Thank you for your quick reply.
I have indeed tried to open it in XP SP2, Vista SP1 & SP2 compatibility mode, but unfortunately it gave me a message - "cannot load version.ini" or something like that...
I don't want to pressure you guys too much, you've been doing a great job so far. I'll just wait until you guys find a solution. No worries!
Thx again -
The problem I am having, When ever I open crossfire and hit start game, my computer instantly blue screens. This is the only game I have this problem. I have tried running it in compatibility mode but still getting a blue screen. Wonder if anyone else has this problem. Or a fix.

Why would you get a 32-bit OS?.......
Anyway, you can try running it as admin - other than that it only runs on 64-bit Windows 7. I don't know why. -
Windows 7 32bit - Does not work yet.
Windows 7 64bit - Apparently works for some reason.
sad thing is mines is oppisite, 32-works 64-fail but i am also running a program called a port watcher with my ports all completely open , so i am able to run CF but not sure why yet but maybe this will help someone
and im going to bed now some1 pass this to saidin to thanks -

Maybe cause some people don't have the money to buy 64bit OS's?
Running as admin or compatibility mode doesn't work at all

Most of the fixes currently working for Windows 7 are user-made. As in there are quirks with each individuals system that is allowing the game to work.
The official word from Game Guard is that they still need to update it. Unfortunately we're handcuffed by that fact. We've done all we can here and simply have to wait for Game Guard to finish updating. (admittedly they should have done that ages ago) -
