When I start up crossfire it ask me to log in, so I log in and then it ask me to pick a in game name. I put name in and press confirm after that nothing happens. Doesn't let me press confirm and it allows me to press cancel but it does nothing. Can't get past the name screen ...

Make sure you pay attention and you read any type of pop up text. The user name that you are chosing may be already registrated so that is probably why you can't register your name. If you still have the problem report it via Support Ticket.
