I posted what I believe to be the solution to your problem in another thread, however here it is again;Your client was corrupted because a certain file was removed in the patching process. In order to fix it, you'll have to uninstall Crossfire (and remove the Z8Games folder in C:/Program Files/Z8Games). Once you've done that, make sure any anti-virus/firewall software are completely disabled/turned off. For best results, I recommend temporarily uninstalling your anti-virus/firewall program. Then, you can reinstall Crossfire and it should work.

So you do have an anti-virus program? Have you tried uninstalling crossfire an then reinstalling with your anti-virus turned off?
Also, some anti-virus programs don't actually turn off when you tell them to. It may be in your best interest to temporarily uninstall it while you're reinstalling crossfire.
