Joining a game = blackscreen

So when i join a game i get a blackscreen and sent error report every time .

any help ?

I have the same issue.

Seems it is a problem with the legacyshader.fxo under the \rez\shader directories within the corssfire folder. If you click the blackscreen it will show a "file cannot be found" or something similar to that. It is a repeatable bug and seems to happen to me when ever I join a match in crossfire. It also happened randomly without me joining a match. My antivirus is mircrsoft security essentials, I have tried disabling it but there is no difference. I have also tried running it in administrator, and compatibility mode for windows 7 (my version of windows).

I had same problem for some time on my old pc, try changing screen resolution and see if that helps.

Have you tried doing a clean reinstall of Crossfire with your anti-virus completely turned off?

Sounds like a Fragmentation issue to me.

Uninstall the entire game completely and then Defragment your computer. Fragmentation can cause files in your computer to not be found or take a long time to load up and be found.
