Please help with this Xtrap error

Please answer the following questions:
- Did your laptop come with some sort of anti-virus software?
- When you downloaded Crossfire, was this anti-virus active?
- Is Windows Firewall turned on?


It sounds like you may have had an anti-virus program on your laptop when you purchased it (not unusual). The anti-virus most likely detected something abnormal about one of Crossfire's files, and "cleansed" it, resulting in X-Trap giving you the corrupted error when starting up Crossfire.

I recommend uninstalling that anti-virus software temporarily, and doing a clean reinstall of Crossfire. After Crossfire is finished installing, you can redownload your anti-virus.

How to do a clean install:
1. Uninstall Crossfire (Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs)
2. Delete the Z8Games folder located at C:/Program Files/Z8Games
3. Download the installer from the Z8Games download page
4. Install Crossfire using the installer you just downloaded
5. Restart your computer (recommended)
