Xtrap Freezes/HGW Wont Load

Here Saidin, You asked for us to post our issues here, so here I am.

Removal of xtrap:

I did indeed follow along with this thread but every recommendation that you gave us, simply hasn't worked on my end. I have tried to reinstall crossfire but that just gave me the same end result.

I do have some other friends who are also stuck in the same position as I am. Any answers to this will be appreciated.

Exactly the same for me, Richie. Seems a lot of people are having the same problem. Not sure how the problem has been "fixed."

Did you empty your Log and hgwc folders?

Exactly! My game was working perfectly fine until they started changing a lot of errors just causing me to get them now.

I had same problem all morning then suddenly it loaded but very slowly. Soon as I got off for a bit and tried re-logging I'm right back to the same situation as you are man.

Remember, there will be no changes untill the computer is restarted.

Had the same thing just now. Deleted the xtrap files and it redownloaded them again successfully. Currently in game.

Broken here also. Was fine last night. Gets stuck at 8**kb/1788kb every time. The size it stops at varies. Removed folders blah blah blah... still not working.

Did that and also re downloaded, erased all folders, etc. Nothing

I have a quick fix. It worked on my sons machine he got right on. I copied the log, Xtrap and hgwc file folders to my machine and now I can get on.

just keep closing hgw/x-trap window untill it stops freezing and loads completley , that is what i did and now its working fine

And they say its a small % of us having this problem. Idk man Im in the same boat. Was talk of an xtrap update this morning but nothing since then . Gl getting any answers

Same problem and its looking like no one can successfully come up with a fix, So in other words all of us are ****ed.

Hell my cf takes for ever to launch patcher then freezes on xtrap.. like dafuq

Yeah, I knew it wasn't going to work but it was worth a try.

That solution fixes:

Constant "connecting to server" - never ending
"Disconnected" after a total of 1 game played
No response from crossfire after x-trap reaches 100%
