HGWC and X-Trap pausing

I'm not sure where to put my problem in amongst the rest so I'm just going to toss it here. As with a lot of other people my Xtrap won't go past step three.

I have reinstalled the game.

I have deleted the folders.

I have eliminated all possible conflicting programs until it was the bare minimum my computer was running on.

I use advanced system care which has detected no conflict.

I have turned off firewalls.

I even deleted Internet Explorer because apparently the new updates with it cause some conflicts.

And I have emptied my dns cache.

Yet after all that still nothing. I'm at a loss. Especially since I downloaded this game a mere 2 weeks ago and everything worked fine. Shall I need to proxy this?
