Help this old guy

Crossfire won't open, load or communicate.. computer freezes... tried everything.... soo...I removed everything from my computer, reminding you all it's a relatively new computer. Everything's been working perfectly lately. I downloaded the newest version from the site (to cover my bases even though it's legit) which took a blink eyed second. I open it to download the stream and get going... and I get nothing again.... 2 mins to 10 to 1 hour to 1.5 to 3 hours then... sits there idle.... It won't download from the server. I've done everything possible. Anyone know what the hell is going on? Is it a server issue? Everyone who knows me... someone have some constructive and possible helpful feedback? My only day off in the next few weeks I wanted to pound a few hours on CF today.... Ruined... blah.. Going bowling with my kids after school I guess. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    Hey old guy ;) ,
    servers are unstable atm - yes.
    But your problem looks more like that the Pando-downloader is blocked by your firewall or your aniti-virus don´t like the download...
    Check the settings - let it pass through your firewall and add it to the anti-virus (-and, if you have- other real-time-protection-software) exclusion list.

    There is also explained how to check your connection.

    If nothing works I can give you a alternative download-link...
